Teaching Style

Lucy teaches heartfelt yoga classes both in-person and online. Known for her gentle teaching and her clear delivery, Lucy is  dedicated to sharing her knowledge and passion for Yoga to help her students develop their practice. Her classes bring together movement and stillness, with an emphasis on self-enquiry and finding joy.

With a focus on mindful movement, she combines creative flows with grounding breathwork and meditation; always encouraging you to be in the present moment, connect with yourself, and practice with self-kindness and self-compassion. Her classes are also known for their powerful relaxation (Savasana) that will leave you feeling replenished and revitalised.

Lucy offers in-person classes in Birstall and Mirfield, as well as online workshops. She also runs half-day and full-day retreats, and weekend retreats abroad. She loves teaching all styles of yoga but her speciality is combining Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra which you can try at her monthly in-person and online workshops, as well as her exclusive online 8-week course Cultivate & Nourish.

Yoga Journey

Lucy started practising Yoga when she was going through a stressful and anxious time in a previous office job. She immediately noticed not only the physical benefits of the practice (how much stronger and more flexible she was getting), but also how Yoga helped her to switch-off the intrusive work thoughts. It helped her press pause, empty her busy brain, and find time for her.

Interested in how the practice could have such a deep impact, she chose to do her teacher training to learn more, never thinking she would eventually leave the stressful office job to teach full-time! But Lucy fell in love with sharing the joys of yoga and she is now passionate about helping as many people as possible experience the benefits that Yoga has to offer.

Qualifications

Lucy completed her 200-hour Vinyasa teacher training in Leeds in 2022. Since then, she has completed further training in:

  • Hatha Yoga
  • Yin Yoga
  • Restorative Yoga
  • Yoga Nidra
  • Pregnancy Yoga

She is also a qualified Breath Coach and Reiki practitioner.

Lucy has also trained in Goa, India, at the Sarvaguna School, completing her 100-hour Meditation Teacher Training.

Outside of Yoga

Outside of class, Lucy is a proud Yorkshire lass and can often be found with a strong cuppa in hand. She loves nothing more than to talk about all things travel and books.
