Welcome, my journey into yoga began during a time when I needed it most.
Working in a busy corporate role, I was dealing with ongoing back pain, mounting stress and that constant feeling of overwhelm that comes with long hours and demanding deadlines. Someone suggested I try yoga and I’ve never looked back.
What started as a way to ease physical discomfort quickly became something much more. Yoga helped me feel calmer, more balanced and better able to cope with the pressures of everyday life.
Over time, I became curious about movement more broadly, which led me to train in Pilates too. I found it complemented yoga beautifully – building strength, improving stability and supporting the body in a practical, everyday way.
This journey has sparked a real passion to share these practices and to help others feel the same benefits.
My approach
I teach small, friendly Yoga and Pilates classes, both in-person and online, with a focus on helping you feel comfortable, supported and at ease in your body.
My style is calm, clear and down-to-earth. Some classes are slower and more restorative, while others are more dynamic and flowing, but all are taught with care and attention to how things feel, rather than how they look.
There’s no pressure to be perfect. Just space to move, breathe and reconnect with yourself.
I want you to leave class feeling:
- a little lighter
- more relaxed
- stronger and more connected to your body
Classes, workshops & retreats
I offer in-person classes in Birstall and Mirfield, as well as workshops and retreats throughout the year.
My classes bring together mindful movement, strength-building, breathwork and moments of stillness – always encouraging you to move in a way that feels right for you. Whether it’s a weekly class or a longer retreat, my aim is to create a space where you can slow down, switch off and take some time for yourself.
And of course… there’s always a cuppa and a chat.
Online classes
I also share a library of short, pre-recorded classes via Substack.
Each session is around 10-minutes, designed to help you find a moment of calm in your day – whether that’s a gentle stretch, a short Pilates sequence or a simple breathing practice.
With new classes added regularly, it’s an easy way to build movement into your routine, even on busy days.
Qualifications
I completed my 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga teacher training in Leeds in 2022, and have continued to expand my training across a range of styles including Hatha, Yin, Restorative and Yoga Nidra.
I’m also a qualified:
- Level 3 Pilates instructor
- Pregnancy Yoga teacher
- Breath coach
- 2nd Degree Reiki practitioner
I’ve also trained in Goa at the Sarvaguna School, completing a 100-hour Meditation Teacher Training.
Outside of teaching
Outside of class, I’m a proud Yorkshire lass and can often be found with a strong cuppa in hand. I love travelling, exploring new places, and getting lost in a good book – and I’m always happy to chat what I’m currently reading.
