Looking to build more strength or tone up? This class involves a lot of movement and body-weight exercises in fun and creative flows. Vinyasa yoga is a flowing style of yoga where one pose transitions into the next with each breath. This is a faster flowing class, so some yoga experience is useful, but if you are new to the practice you are still more than welcome to come and flow with us! It’s amazing how quickly you learn the poses.

The flow changes each week. Some weeks we may focus on working towards a ‘peak’ pose, and sometimes we move round the mat in a Mandala-style. There will always be different options so you can practice at the level you feel comfortable at. We practice with self-kindness and compassion throughout as we move through our sequence of postures. The goal is not the pose, but the practice itself.

Some yoga experience is useful. However, if you are new to the practice and want to get stuck in to a creative class, you are more than welcome to join, please don’t be put off.

We take time at the start of each class to tune-in with our breath and connect with the present moment, leaving our shopping lists and to-do lists at the door. The class finishes with plenty of time in relaxation to feel into the inner-fire our practice has created.

Class schedule: Thursdays, 6.30-7.30pm

Location: St Mary’s Community Centre, 38 Church Lane, Mirfield WF14 9HX. There is a free car park at the Centre.
