Mondays can be so hectic and full of to-do lists! Start your week off with a moment or two of mindfulness. In this class, we move slowly and gently, easing ourselves into the week and letting go of any pressure or expectations of ourselves. This class is ideal for those who are new to yoga or anyone who wants to enjoy a slower-paced hour.

We begin this class either lying or seated with time to tune-in; this could be through meditation or breathwork, connecting us with the present moment. We then move through a different flow each week, focusing on a central theme or strengthening/stretching out a particular muscle group or area such as the lower back, hips, or hamstrings.

The flow is gentle and accessible for all levels of yoga experience (including none at all!) as we stretch, strengthen and find balance. We also have time to look at individual postures and explore adjustments to help each posture suit you. I provide blocks and yoga belts to help with adjustments.

You will leave feeling calmer and more connected with your body and breath, as well as having an increased knowledge of yoga and its benefits.

Birstall Community Centre is warm and cosy and you’ll be offered a herbal tea on arrival. Come and join this friendly group for a Monday morning stretch. It’s the best start to the week!
