Settle on your mat, press pause on the busy-ness, and tune-in. In this class, we use different breathwork techniques, mindful movement, and longer holds of postures to find stillness in our minds and bodies. There may still be a few challenging postures in there! But we approach them with a calm steadiness and options to adapt. You will leave feeling calmer, re-balanced, and reconnected with yourself. All levels of yoga experience welcome.
This class has its roots in Hatha and Yin Yoga.
Hatha is an ancient practice where we work with the breath to re-balance our inner energies and hold static postures to calm and focus the mind.
In Yin, we hold postures for up to a few minutes at a time, finding stillness and release. These postures give us chance to tune-in to the present moment and feel what’s going on for us in the here and the now.
Both of these styles of yoga hold immense potential benefits for us physically and mentally as we strengthen muscles and improve flexibility, but also quieten our ever-busy minds.
Class Schedule: Tuesdays, 9.30-10.30am
Location: St Mary’s Community Centre, 38 Church Lane, Mirfield WF14 9HX. There is a free car park at the Centre.
Investment: it is £12.00 to purchase a single class, or a monthly membership is £36.00 per month (which works out at £9.00 a class if there are four Tuesdays in the month, or £7.20 if there are five). You can find out more about memberships here.
