Do you get to the end of the week feeling tired and drained? Do you feel like you have lost your energy to other people and projects? Would you like to learn relaxation techniques that you can take into daily life to help you find peace and inner-tranquility? In this longer workshop, we combine the magic of yin and restorative yoga poses to calm the nervous system and stretch and release tight muscles. We will also incorporate replenishing and nourishing breath-work practices to find even deeper relaxation.
The workshop will finish with a Yoga Nidra practice (or ‘yogi sleep’), similar to a guided visualisation. The benefits of Yoga Nidra includes:
• Improve sleep and ease insomnia
• Restore energy and prevent burnout
• Reduce stress
• Boost focus and mental clarity
• Aid in emotional regulation
Research has also shown that 30 minutes of Yoga Nidra is the equivalent amount of rest to four hours of sleep.
